Want to spice up your look? Forget “beauty is pain” – cute and comfy is what it’s all about! I’m always looking to dress cute on a budget without sacrificing comfort. Here are some of my favorite go-to outfit ideas to combat the hot and humid weather. I hope these ideas provide some inspiration for you. 😊

1. No Fuss Dress Up!

Dresses are an easy choice because they’re so versatile. There’s no fuss about matching tops and bottoms. There’s so many ways to work with dresses; they can be cute and casual or formal and comfortable. Best of all, dresses are super flattering and comes in a variety of styles. Sometimes when I want to make a dress more casual I’ll throw a cardigan or light jacket over it. This can change the look by making it softer and more casual. If you’ll be walking around and want to tone down a dress, pair it with white sneakers. If not, pairing it with sandals can elevate the look without hurting your feet with heels.

2. Not so Basic

This is an effortless look that combines wardrobe staples you probably already have. Just throw on a plain solid colored top with a more exciting skirt or bottom. I tend to pair neutral tops (black, white, gray, etc.) with a more bright or lively color as a bottom (pinks, yellows, orange, etc.). If you’re not so fond of bright colors, patterns and stripes can be a great way to add sophistication and interest to the outfit. The contrast between colors and styles make the outfit more vibrant without having too much going on. The plain top also makes it easier to accessorize with a necklace and other jewelry. Another option is to do the reverse — match a busy top with a plain bottom!

3. Comfy and Casual

This is my favorite go-to outfit because it requires basically no shopping and how you execute this style is completely up to you. This is similar to the last outfit but it’s definitely more casual. Whether you’re going miniature golfing (I just went this weekend 😊), going out, hanging out, or just staying in, this style requires no advanced planning. Pair a plain top with jeans or comfy shorts. Instead of a tank top you could also substitute it with a graphic tee or crop top. This makes for a comfy outfit that requires nothing beyond the wardrobe.

There are some of my favorites and I hope you found some inspiration for your summer outfits. Leave a comment and let me know what your favorite outfits combinations are!

Wow, I love the aesthetic of your blog! It’s light, happy, and amazing. Dresses are definitely my go-to when I’m feeling lazy in the morning. I’ve never been one for loud prints, but I think I might try out your tip of pairing a patterned bottom with a solid top or vice versa!

Thank you! I am also not too crazy about prints so I generally tone down a look with simpler patterns like stripes, gingham, or floral.

What's on your mind? Let me know!
