Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend has been nothing short of amazing so far! 🙂 Who else is excited for warmer weather? I’m incredibly excited for spring to come (and spring sales). Recently, I’ve been looking for a dress to wear to my cousin’s wedding and found some great deals I wanted to share with you. If you are looking for a dress to wear to prom, homecoming, a party, an event, or just to treat yourself (or your boo), this is for you! On a budget? No worries – these dresses are all under $50!
This dress is fun, flowy, and perfect for spring! You can easily dress this up for a special occasion or wear it for an extra cute day-to-day wear. The light green color and the little details elevate the whole look. The little buttons, ruching on the sleeves, and the flowy layers add an elegant touch to the dress. I’m planning on wearing this dress to my cousin’s wedding soon and I’m so excited to wear it. 🙂 I love that it’s actually not just a plain green but has a faint white polka-dotted print throughout. Despite everything going on with the dress, it gives off a nice, classy look.
For the Person that Loves Versatility
I got this dress in both the rose and mint color (I was indecisive). This dress is nice and the colors are beautiful. I added my own belt to the mint dress since the color was such an iconic Bubbles blue. If you don’t know who that is, Bubbles is a cartoon character from the show Powerpuff Girls (it’s a legendary kids show from back in the day).
The dress is a tad transparent so if you are interested in this one, you would probably need to wear nude underwear to avoid showing the outline of your undies to the world. The length is perfect; not too long or too short and the straps are adjustable. The fit is true to size. The only thing I would warn you about is that the fabric is pretty difficult to deal with. It was a struggle to iron these out and you can still see quite a few wrinkles despite all that 🙁 . It also wasn’t the most comfortable fabric either (no stretch and kind of rough). Sadly, this dress was a miss for me.
Floral from Head to Toe
With the weather gearing up for spring, I’m excited to wear more colorful and vibrant outfits. This was an unexpected surprise as I am on the shorter end so maxi dresses tend to be too long and/or look unflattering on me. I love that the straps actually flare out and the mid-thigh slit adds an interesting element to the dress. This would be a great dress to go out on a date, dinner, or to a party. The fit is great and the print practically screams “SPRING”!
For the One that’s On the Go
This dress is a light blush pink color with beautiful golden yellow flowers and gray leaves. I got this in the light pink/taupe color, but the site also offers the dress in ivory/lavender. It fits true to size and is comfy to wear. You can dress it down with a cardigan and sneakers or dress it up with sandals or heels. Although, it’s light-colored and airy the material isn’t sheer which is great. 🙂 This is one of those dresses you can easily wear for the spring and summer or layer it for the fall and winter.
This dress is so cute! It’s super girly with ruffles and bows. The straps tie into bows and you can easily adjust them on the shoulders. No worries about this one being see-through – there are two layers to the dress. Although it looks plain white, it’s actually filled with a fun pink dotted print. This would be a lovely look for going out on a date, brunch, picnic, or pretty much anywhere. Throw on a jacket and a pair of boots to give this look an extra edge.
This dress is actually on sale for $50.99 on their site, but right now Express is also having a 40% sale on all their items so the dress is actually $30.59. #bargainqueen
Make a Statement
This red dress is a statement piece. It’s cute and I love the little slit on the side. The crisscross design on the front also adds uniqueness to the dress. The straps are adjustable and great for a more formal event and if you want to be the center of attention.
This dress is from Express so I also got this for 40% off the sales price ($30.59). If you liked either of the dresses, I would recommend taking advantage of the sale they’re having now.
Which one was your favorite?
This was so much fun to post! It took me (and M) forever to take photos. M (my bf) did a great job with helping me take photos, making sure my legs weren’t looking too awkward/cut off or the dress too blurry. Thanks babe! <3 I’m definitely not a graphic designer or anything but I love design and this was so much fun to put together. 🙂
Initially I was set on wearing the green dress to my cousin’s wedding in the spring, but now I am a tad swayed by the white (with the blue flower print) one. Which dress do you think I should wear to the wedding? Let me know in the comments below! Leave a like if you enjoyed this post and thanks for reading!
