A Pre-Fall Playlist – 12 Songs I Love

September 11, 2019

As the days are getting shorter and the weather a bit chillier, my mood has been caught between wanting summer days to last and cozy weather to come sooner. Here’s a playlist of songs (new and old) that I have been loving. Have you heard of any of these?

1. You, Clouds, Rain by Heize ft. Shin Yong Jae

This song is incredibly therapeutic for me. It’s a relaxing song that resonates with me when I’m feeling a bit down or exhausted. It’s a sad song for when you want to accept the feelings of sadness so you can begin to pick yourself up again. It’s also a great rainy day or commute song.

2. Does She by Yuna, Jay Park

This is a chill song that voices doubt in a melodic way. Another sad song (not all the songs are, I promise 😊) that has an addicting beat. I just love how this one sounds. The flow of this song is just so smooth!

3. Ouvi Dizer by Melim

This was a happy accidental discovery. I found this while looking through IG’s music selection for IG stories (I like doing this because it helps me find new music). This is a feel-good song that will make you want to hum and sing it all day long. This is such a warm, cinematic song! If my life was made into a romantic comedy movie, I would want this song to be in it.

4. Gentlemen by Will Jay

LOVE THIS! This song makes me want to get up and dance! It’s a fun, catchy tune that is utter cuteness! Retro vibes and romantic comedy goodness. Watch the mv for this too! It kind of reminds me of a Broadway tune. If you liked this song, check out Leading Man by Will Jay too.

5. I Can Only Write My Name by Will Jay

This song strikes a chord on a personal note. Growing up, I struggled with my identity living with two very contrasting cultures and this song speaks to me. The message and the emotion contained in the notes are lovely <3. Give it a listen and let me know your thoughts.😊

6. Don’t Know You by Heize

The bear makes more sense after watching the music video haha

This song has an R&B pop sound that makes it addicting to listen to. I know I probably said this for all the songs but really, watch the music video! It’s interesting and if you’re not sure what the video is about (I was confused too lol), I recommend looking through the comments of the video. Many people shared their thoughts in the comments which provides some perspective to the video.

7. Electric Love by BORNS

This is a song to listen to when you’re in love! This song feeds the hopeless romantic in me because it has a delightful melody that’s just lovely. “BABY YOU’RE LIKE LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE”

8. Noir by Sunmi

This song is a mood changer. It’s artsy, a little different, and another fun beat.

9. Dangerously by Charlie Puth

This is an oldie but goodie. This is the first song I heard by Charlie Puth and it’s such a great song to sing along to. It’s a song that makes you feel like you’re the main character in a heart break music video.

10. Good Goodbye by Arden Cho

me waving goodbye to all the things I didn’t need in my life to make way for more love and positivity

This song is such a vibe. It reminds me of new beginnings and makes me think of “missed opportunities” that were just not meant for me. Over time I’ve realized every time I “missed out”, it ended up being a good thing. I’m glad I missed these opportunities because it helped direct me to a path of growth. It’s a song that says “goodbye” to the things that aren’t meant to be part of your journey. By the way, try listening to it at 1.25x speed. It becomes an even catchier song.

11. Lover by Taylor Swift

From all of Taylor Swift’s new songs, this one stood out to me. It’s loving, tells a story, and kind of gives me “cozy night inside on a chilly day” vibes. This is a slow dance type of song I imagine would be at a prom in the 90s.

12. Lights Down Low by MAX

One of my all-time favorite songs. Poor M. When this song first came out, I listened to it on replay nonstop. I consider this one of our songs <3. It’s a great love song that ages with you. What’s even cuter is that the couple in the music video are actually married in real life.

Have you heard of any of these songs? Were there any songs that surprised you? Let me know in the comments below. 😊

Until next time,

V <3
