An IKEA Date 💗 and Home Décor Inspo 🏠✨

January 31, 2020

I’ve been meaning to go to IKEA since I have had my eye on some home decor ideas for a while and had been wanting to go out somewhere mellow but high on the fun factor.🌟This is part life update, part home décor inspo.

Breakfast

M: Do you want to have breakfast or lunch at IKEA?

Me: Both😊

And so, we ended up opting for both. Breakfast was nice and light. I had the heart shaped waffles and breakfast platter. M had the shrimp salad croissant sandwich. Afterwards, we walked around to see the showrooms.

His portion size v. mine lol

Cool Home Ideas

IKEA does well in utilizing its spaces and products to form well-designed and compact rooms. While I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of all the rooms, the way the products are placed together inspires me to be more creative with design and home decorating.

We decided to pair the gray sink and vanity combo with the circular mirror. (We were so excited about the vanity that we went back and put the drawer together.😆)

Lunch

After exploring all of IKEA, we got lunch before heading back. M had chicken tenders and fries with coffee. I had a salmon platter and a kid’s meal plate of meatballs.

You can actually get all of the IKEA foods (meatballs, etc.) and sauces (like this dill sauce on the salmon) to make at home too!

Thanks for reading!

I hope you enjoyed this little life update. Where do you get home décor inspo? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time,
