Hi Friends! I have been taking a little bit of an unintentional break from blogging. Life has been busy as I recently started a new job and have been spending some time with family and friends. I’m excited to share what I’ve been up to! Honestly, this post is 10% life update and 90% fall things appreciation.
Few things are better than a potluck with friends. M and I recently had friends come over for a potluck.
We had hoagies, pizza, wings, food, junk food, and sushi! My favorite sushi rolls are shogun and spider rolls. It is wrapped in lettuce and seaweed on the outside and rice, crab meat, some special sauce, and avocado on the inside. The best part about it is the steamed scallops on top! It just elevates the flavor of each bite. Spider rolls have rice and crispy soft-shelled crab. It was nice to have friends over especially when I haven’t seen them in awhile with life keeping both me and M preoccupied (and tired).
I recently started working at a new company. It has been about 3 weeks since I started and I love it!
My coworkers are nice and friendly. I am younger and not as experienced, so I was pretty nervous about it. Fortunately, the environment is welcoming, and the work is dynamic and interesting. Wish me luck on my next few months! Let me know if you have some work tips!
Every year I go to a pumpkin patch with M and my family. It was so much fun and the weather was the kind of gentle, cool weather you would feel on a perfect fall day. M and I picked out the perfect pumpkin (M stopped me from getting a cart full of pumpkins). We jokingly named it our “Butt Pumpkin” because…
The pumpkin actually looks like it has a booty. :’D
*question: Does anyone know how to change the :’D into emojis? So far I can only do the regular smileys because it converts automatically from the original Word doc. I type in.
We also went on the hay ride with my sister. There’s just something wonderful about going to the pumpkin patch on a fall day and seeing all the happy families and kids doing the same thing. I saw a family where a couple and their kids were wearing matching red, checkered flannels and it was so adorable! Talk about #couplegoals and #familygoals. Another great thing about going to the farm is picking up some goodies. Other than the booty pumpkin we got an apple pie, apple cider donuts, honey (for tea), and apple cider. In case you couldn’t tell we love apples. 😊
Fall is just wonderful! The trees changing colors, sweater weather, and snuggling season just makes it one of those times of the year where you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
I had so much fun writing this and I hope you enjoyed this post! I enjoy writing about my experiences and am trying to stick to a regular schedule so that I write a little bit each week. How has October been for you? How do you celebrate fall and/or the spooky season? Let me know in the comments below! Show love if you enjoyed this fall themed post!
Until next time~
