As fall weather comes closer, my email inbox has been flooded with “SALE SALE SALE”, deals, and promotions for all sorts of products I don’t remember signing up for but am somehow subscribed to. I am usually pretty good at deleting and unsubscribing but this time I was enticed by the “end of summer” deals so I picked up a few things. Spoiler alert: I might have gotten a little carried away.
Check out my try-on haul on Instagram TV for more details and the fit of the items. I linked all the items I bought (that are still available on the sites) below.
Some Prep to Your Step
Ribbed Polo Shirt Mini Dress from Forever21 – originally $18, I got it for $13.50
I love the color of this dress, but it is a bit too loose for me. Otherwise, it’s super cute.
Plaid Square Neck Mini Dress from Forever21 – originally $19.99, I got it for 14.99
I have been wanting a plaid dress, but I wish it was slightly more fitted. The fit is a tad boxy for me. The color is gorgeous, and the fabric is a nice double lined material.
Floral Print Cami Dress from Forever21 – originally $17.99, I got it for $13.49
This dress is elegant, and the pastel colors give it such a soft look. The straps are adjustable too!
Bodycon Cami Dress from Forever21 – originally $18, I got it for $13.50
This dress reminds me of Trixie Tang, the character from Fairy Oddparents. I wanted to keep it but yikes, it was way too tight and see-through.
Old Lady Wear and Curtains
Button Down Square Neck Crop Blouse from NastyGal – originally $50, I got it for $5.60
Ruffle Wrap Mini Skirt from NastyGal – originally $50, I got it for $10.40.
M (my boyfriend) likes to call this the “old-fashioned top” because the neckline reminds him of fashion from way back when. I agree and to be honest, it’s kind of why I like it. If you follow me on Instagram, then you may have seen me wear this already.
M has dubbed this the “curtain skirt”. I don’t see it, but this skirt is super cute anyhow.
Bow Promises Floral Off-the-Shoulder Top from NastyGal – originally $50, I got it for $6.40
The top reminds me of the print you see on China vases and plates. If you aren’t sure what I’m talking about – this is what I mean (peep the photo to the right here). It’s cute and a unique piece that can be worn spring through early fall.
Pretty in Pink
I Want It Petal Floral Square Neck Crop Top from NastyGal – originally $44, I got it for $7.20
You could probably tell pink is one of my favorite colors by now. This top has so much going on, but it works. I love how dainty it is.
Daisy for You
Daisy for You Ruched Cropped Top from NastyGal – originally $50, I got it for $8
Nice Tie Wrap Mini Skirt from NastyGal – originally $36, I got it for $10.40
Not too excited about either of these pieces. The top was way too big and the material of both items were cheap, wrinkly, and just not that great.
Multicolor Tortoiseshell Headband from Forever21
I love experimenting with different hair accessories (although I rarely try different hairstyles). This is a fun accessory I have been pairing with different outfits.
Tips for fellow shoppers:
I used extensions such as Honey and Wikibuy to help me find coupon codes for my purchases. I am also signed up for Unidays. Unidays offers discount codes exclusively for students. I recommend signing up for Unidays (it’s free) if you are a student and installing web extensions to help you save more. This is how I got even more of a discount on the clothes in addition to the end of summer sale on both sites.
*Note: I am not sponsored by any of these services. This is just my honest opinion. 😊
Which pieces were your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time,
