Spring Closet Essentials – 5 Trends I Love and How I Style Them

May 16, 2019

Hey babes! Spring is here and I am loving it! I am super excited to share my favorite spring closet staples and style ideas for them. Love cute clothes and binge-watching look books? Look no further, this post is for you! <3

1. Midi Skirts

I usually gravitate towards short skirts but I have been loving midi skirts. They’re the perfect length of comfort casual and dressy. It’s a versatile piece that you can dress up for a special occasion or dress down and add something different to your look. I like to paired it with a solid colored crop top to balance out the patterns on the skirt. A style idea: switch the tank with a blouse for an elevated look of elegance.

I couldn’t find the same one but here’s a beautiful one from Forever21.

This outfit was inspired by my favorite character Edith from the webtoon, Edith.

2. Dainty Tops

Floral Print Crop Top – Forever21

If you follow me on my IG @classic.darling, you already saw a sneak preview of this outfit. I have been seeing this trend a lot and I love it! If my bottoms are boring I like to wear an interesting top to spice it up. This top basically screams SPRING. Dainty tops are basically what I call tops with ties, lace, patterns, and just overall have a lot going on but still manage to look harmonized and delicate.

If you like more looks like this, here’s another spring outfit idea.

3. Floral Print Dresses

It’s spring so bring on the floral! I think prints can be tricky, but floral is so flattering and fun. Not to mention, dresses are an easy piece to style and throw on. It’s the piece that says “I put effort in this look” without actual effort needed. I wore this to my cousin’s wedding dinner and am in love with the print.

4. Layering Necklaces

This trend is all over the internet. It’s basically wearing multiple simple necklaces together. I don’t change my jewelry very much and usually wear these two necklaces everyday. The necklaces are simple but essential; they complete the look and blends well with any outfit. The necklaces were a gift so I’m not sure where they are from but many stores like Forever21 and Pandora carry similar ones.

5. Solid Colored Tank Tops

This is for those days when you want to look cute but are feeling kind of lazy. I pair any pastel or neutral colored tops with some skinny jeans, skirts, (or any bottoms really) and that’s it! It’s a look you can have many variations with and is guaranteed to get your money’s worth of wear for the top.

I couldn’t find the link to the top I’m wearing in the photo but here are some of my other favorites:

I hope you enjoyed this post and are inspired to try some new looks yourself. I am no fashion expert but I love sharing my style ideas with you guys. What are your spring closet essentials? Let me know in the comments below!
